Happy New Year and Pasche Family Visit
It's the morning of January first, Rowan, Talus, Oak, Yarrow, and North just returned from a run-ride, Sky and I are busy with our devices and Steve is still asleep. The whirlwind of all things between Thanksgiving and Christmas made the blog fall to the wayside; I have so much to write about the past month but I'm going to split it into a couple different posts to reflect on the various pieces. Before the Pasche Clan arrived on the 19th we had a Valencia kids Christmas party, gift getting for the Zomi Refugee Center, a book club Turkish breakfast celebration, a science department Christmas drinks, an aquathlon at school, and North was immersed in all of the senior university applications as I was immersed in all of the summative assessments in order to be ready to post grades a week after we return from break. Every time I sat down in front of the computer it was to grade or plan, not to blog...
Yarrow, Steve, Oak, and Sky arrived December 19th, walking in the front door just before we left for school. They took the day to rest and then rallied for immediate adventures and that's what the rest of this post is-photos from their visit with few words...
Yarrow & Sky crashed out before 8pm, first night, morning run first morning, Batu Caves.
Unknown tourist at Batu Caves who really wanted a photo with our boys...they were game so she got her photo.
Central Market followed by Petaling Street and a hidden alley with wonderful street art. Once we returned the kids home (and ordered them pizza) the adults went on an adventure to Vertigo, a restaurant on the 59th floor, overlooking the city.

Thanks for your photos and wonderful update on your collective frolics! We'd love to send a letter or post card but need your mailing address?
ReplyDeleteThanks Ella for capturing the family traveling experience, your time together in KL, and all the smiles!!!! I'm guessing this is one of the cousin adventures that will be remembered for years to come.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on all the colorful and nourishing local food before y'all. (I guess Ketchup is colorful but I'm not sure about the rest.) Maybe skipping the battles with a mixture of the tried and true with the food of the land there . . .
I'm glad you made note of what led up to your exciting visit with the Pasches, Ella. Your lives are so full, it's great to hear about the amazing spectrum of your day to day activities, especially around the holidays. I get that sometimes you have to back-burner the blog.
Life marches on, but thanks to you, Ella we have a record of what happened!
